F.Maintenance and repair
F-1.Grab Maintenance
1)---Lubricating points:
All of the hinge joints of grab need to be lubricated, including stay bar joint, bucket slewing joint, chock slewing joint (excluding fixed chock). Besides, so do the slewing joints of guide rope device and sheaves.
2)---Lubricating requirements:
------Add appropriate grease once before work every time
------Add appropriate grease once at least after working 24 hours continuously.
------Add appropriate grease once after work.
------Add appropriate grease once at least after working a week.
------The time span of lubricating depends on the type of bulk cargo.
------Recommended lubricating grease:
lithium-radicel saponification grease, DIN 51825-KTAL2K
Viscidity lubricating grease(wire rope). DIN 51513-BC.

F-2.Grab repair
1)---Check Wire rope
Check the rope and fixed componet at least once a week,replaceit when there is any flexion ,flatten,knot,serious corrosion,attrition wear.
The wirerope must be replaced if there are 30 visible damage spots lying in the range of 0-30 times diameters,or 60 visible damage spots lying in the range of 0-60 times diameters.
2)---Check quick-wear part
Regular inspect the quick-wear part (Wire rope entrance,guide pulley,pulley )prevent blocking,when serious wear down, replace it
3)---Replace hydraulic oil
In the first time, replace the hydraulic oil after worked 1000hours,then every 3000hours replace a time.
When replace the oil, Keep the grab should be closed state,First,put the container at the bottom of down beam,open the bottom cover of oil tank and the bolt.the hydraulic oil release out.
Inject the oil from the oil cleaner to the tank,loose the dipstick pedestal first,clean the tiny Impurities by the oil filter which is 10 μ m precision.after that,keep the grab in no-load and open condition,Repetitive move the transverse frame up and down at least 10 cycle,in order to release the air in the oil tank and pipe completely.then,replenish oil until reach to the oil level gauge's middle line
The hydraulic oil can be used with ISO VG 46 viscosity wear additives (EP-additive) hydraulic oil. The oil temperature range-10 ℃ 80 ℃ to + later (with DIN 51524/2, H-LP 46).
The below are some applicable oils,and can also according to the above standard choose other oils.

in the condition of below 0℃,High stick index hydraulic oil should be adopted,this hydraulic oil contained antiwear additive(EP),with good viscosity condition

4)---Check the hydraulic pipe
After finishing work,clean the material and dust.check the installed bolt or nut on the hydraulic components and parts,make sure they are tighten status to prevent leaking oil .
5)---Check the rotary shaft pin
Keep the oil passage of rotary shaft pin unblocked,and infuse lubricating oil.
The bush should be renewed when the inner diameter of sliding bearing 10% more than original dimension
The serious wear down shaft pin should be renewed or repair.
6)---Check the shackle
In the following condition,the shackle should be renewed
a)---a)there is a fissure in anywhere on the shackle
b)---More than 5% deformation
c)---The traverse pin can rotary.
d)---More than 5% wear-down on any section of shackle and traverse pin
The shackle shouldn't be reheating,welding etc.it is forbidden to use the reparative shackle
7)---Check cylinder
check if there is any loose on the collection of cylinder,fasten it .
check the cylinder prevent oil leaking.in the leaking condition,check the cylinder's sealing element,replaceit when necessary.
check the piston rod,if there is any damage,replace it if necessary
8)---Grab's dismantle
keep the piston rod completely withdraw,when dismantling
Keep the grab closed,when dismantle the grab body
9)---Welding
most of BANGDING material are chose.we recommend heat the material as follow:
in the following condition the material should be preheat
------the hardness rise as the welding temperature
------high-thermal conductivity material
------the material which easy got hydrogen attack
Accordancing the different material,choose the proper preheat temperature,show as follow .

When welding,make sure the surface no paint.corrosion,oxide skin,etc.the welding work just only through the exam welder implementation. Adopting the direct current welding,the welding wire is linked to the power anode.
The option of commonly used materials are as follow,if any other different kind welding material or welding filler are taken,It may get approval from BANGDING inspector
